Note- the horse helpers contacted the breeder of this pony, Don Rudeen of Oneka Ponies, who apparently is still breeding.  This is what she had to say... if your going to breed, do so responsibly!  Use a contract to protect your the life you put here and made money off of.  If you don't want the responsibility - don't breed!

  I gave him my name and told him I was a volunteer and that I was calling to alert him to the fact that a pony he had bred had ended up in a kill brokers lot in PA.  The most emotion I got out of him at all was that he was surprised he was in PA!  I told him who the pony was and he said "Ya, I sold him at sale".  I told him I try to contact breeders and previous owners to alert them to the fact that their babies ended up in trouble in hopes that they might be able to help by bailing them out or making a donation or suggesting someone who could.  He was silent.  I said well if nothing else sometimes they can offer us more info on the horse that may help us place it.  Again nothing.  So I said sometimes the breeders are wiling to help us with a donation.  He then said that "where he lives there are rules about how many horses you can have on the property and he is at his limit"  and "you can't even give ponies away right now".  "I really can't help you at all".  I was in shock.  -

Update - I personally had correspondence with Ex. Mrs. Rudeen she spoke with her ex husband and they said we are right and they are not breeding any longer didn't breed any this year and on a positive note said that they feel bad about this and that the world is paying attention and less breeding.

mini gelding approx 38 inches and 3 or 4 yr old brought by mistake he wasn't on our website and had not place to go...but he is being held at Kelly Charming Acres rescue we didn't want to send him back and Kelly kindly offered to ship him to her farm and feed him this week.  We don't have funds to purchase him he is available to private home and we are collecting donations so we can keep him at the rescue.  If fundraiser is unsuccessful they will take him back next Monday to their possession.

6-22-23 - Black gelding gaited approx 9 yr old 14.3 and looks 5 gaited.  He  was gentle to tack and mount didn't mind riding out slow has multi gaits pretty sure this is a 5 gaited horse.  Once he was hot and moving fast it took a couple times of asking before he stopped and stood still but he did and what a nice comfy gentleman!  Well behaved and not hot right from the start.
