Trace

We took pictures of him but thought we were not going to be able to help him. He was in the DTS pen and heading to Canada for slaughter. He has a very funny personality was seeking us out as you can see for attention. His hip tag number was 333 he went through auction and was purchased for slaughter he is really fat #1 they get paid the most for him and needed $600 if we wanted to buy him...we didn't have it to pay so we gave him as much attention and love as we could thinking we would never see him again. Lara was really drawn to him because he reminded her of her pony purchased through New Holland that raised her and she loved until he passed away 2 years ago. Trace would come up to us with his ears pinned then as soon as you touch him his ears go up and he is happy! He went to the loading pen where they were held for transport and Lara kept asking me if he left yet for Canada... I said probably honey, I am so sorry! We don't have the funds to purchase him and we help all we can but not enough time to help this boy. Well he followed the workers around just like he did us sticking his nose in their pockets looking for treats and I got a call that he didn't go on the truck! Miracles do happen!! Now all we have to do is raise the money and a horse that should be dead by now will have "another chance" at life.
